Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 13, 2026

This Privacy Policy applies to The Pi Apps ("we," "us," "our") as a developer, and to all apps we publish on Google Play under this developer account. Some apps may also include their own in-app privacy notice covering permissions or features specific to that app — where that's the case, the app's notice works alongside this policy, not instead of it.

Information we collect

Depending on the app, we may collect:

  • Device and usage information — such as device model, operating system version, app version, language settings, and general usage patterns, used to keep our apps working correctly and to understand how they're used.
  • Diagnostic and crash data — technical logs generated automatically when an app crashes or encounters an error, used to fix bugs and improve stability.
  • Permissions-based data — certain apps request specific device permissions (for example, messaging apps may request SMS or contacts access) strictly to provide their core functionality. Each app's Play Store listing and in-app disclosures describe exactly what it accesses and why.
  • Information you provide directly — such as when you contact us for support.

We do not require account creation for most of our apps, and we do not knowingly collect more information than an app needs to function.

How we use information

  • To operate, maintain, and improve our apps
  • To diagnose technical issues and fix bugs
  • To respond to support requests
  • To understand aggregate usage trends so we can prioritize improvements

We do not sell your personal information.

Third-party services

Our apps may rely on third-party services to function — for example, Google Play services, crash reporting, or analytics tools. These providers may process limited technical data on our behalf, governed by their own privacy policies. We choose providers that are reputable and widely used in the Android ecosystem, and we limit what we share with them to what's needed for the app to work.

Data sharing

We do not share your personal information with third parties except:

  • With service providers who help us operate our apps (as described above)
  • If required by law, regulation, or legal process
  • To protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public

Data security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information our apps handle. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep data protected against unauthorized access, alteration, or loss.

Data retention

We retain information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Where an app processes data locally on your device rather than on our servers, that data stays under your control and is handled according to that app's own listing.

Children's privacy

Our apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

Your choices

You can control app permissions at any time through your device settings. Uninstalling an app removes the data it stored locally on your device. If you have questions about data a specific app has processed, contact us using the details below.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our apps evolve or as required by law. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of our apps after a change means you accept the updated policy.
